Great article - thanks for posting it. A few months ago I took an ICE train from Berlin to Weimar, and the departure was from Lichtenberg, not from Zoo or Ostbahnhof. The (soon to be obsolete) track routings described in the article explain why the departure was out of that far-from-center station.

Also, the article didn't mention if stations like Zoo or Ostbahnhof will continue to be used - does anyone know?
