Emirates lost my laptop!!
I recently travelled JFK-DXB-LHE. When i arrived in LHE, i found that one of my baggages was missing. I filled in all the lost baggage forms as per routine and the suitcase turned up in the next flight two days later.
However, my laptop and laptop charger were missing from the suitcase!!! I checked my suitcase at the Emirates luggage office infront of an Emirates rep and reported the lost item there and then. I filled in a claim report for the laptop and I got a letter from Emirates yesterday saying they will not accept my claim.
Apparently Emirates is not responsible for "money, jewellery, ..... and other valuables". Does this come under other valuables because no where does it mention that they are not responsible for electronic items.
Should I attemp to re-request for my claim? Anything from past experience anyone?
I would really appreciate your comments and advice on this one.
