For what its worth, on US last week, we departed 11 min early, without 15 who were going to "mis-connect". They had landed, but were going to be "too long going from B to F terminal. Good for me, I was standby on an oversold flight. What was sad, is that all remaining flights were oversold, so those 15, even if they did make it to the gate, were SOL!
That's lame. This has happened to me before...where they assumed I would misconnect but I still made it to the gate in time. Fortunately for me UA had already booked me on another flight...but I managed to get home a few hours later
