I had quite an uncomfortable experience the other day on AF.
Our flight from AMS to CDG was delayed by 1hr20, however we had boarded the plane and waited that time on the plane (was due to air traffic congestion).
Unfortunately, according to the captain (who did update everyone quite often), the APU (which powers air conditioning) is not allowed to be used whilst at the gate in the Netherlands.
Fortunately, they did come and served water on several occassions and did excuse themselves.
