neither method worked for me ex GLA last Saturday. The site where I am working this week had a big BA SSCI/OLCI presentation set up for employees today. I quizzed the guy giving it (can't remember his title, but his biz card was Waterside) who swore blind that checking in with kids does work and I should "try again" I really couldn't be bothered arguing, so helped myself to the free tat (ebay here I come) and moved on.
