Updates on Aircanada.com for UA Flights?

So, I've got 3 separate bookings for myself and my family for next Christmas. 2 booked on Aeroplan and 1 booked on Travelocity (was $50 less than direct booking at UA for some reason at the time).

After the initial booking, Aeroplan told me to call UA International reservations to get seat assignments. No problem.

So, with the recent changes to Aeroplan website I decided to check my bookings and found seat assignments don't show on aeroplan anymore. But, they do show at aircanada.com if you view the booking there AND select the print intinerary/receipt option. So far so good, seats for the rest of the family are as requested. Now I check my booking on Travelocity and find my seat on the 1st leg has been changed so I'm no longer sitting with the rest of the family. Call up UA and request it get changed back so I can sit with my family. No problem, but it is explained the seat change is due to an equipment swap from A320 to A319 AND my family members actually have no seats assigned on the 1st leg. Probably because the assigned row on the A320 is an exit row on the A319 and cannot be opened for pre-assignment. I got bumped up to an Economy Plus seat but the rest of the family would get automatically assigned seats at some inexact future time if I hadn't called. In the end, no problem, every is re-seated where I want.

Now to the real question. If, how, and when would the UA seat assignment or lack thereof show up on aircanada.com? Also, it doesn't appear there is any way to see the booking details at ua.com either unless these bookings are tied to a UA FFP #, which they aren't.
