The Business Class seats are the same as the coach seats, but are at the back of the plane because this is where the main door for boarding/deplaning is located, meaning Business Class can leave the plan first. Also, the back of the cabin, away from the engines, is generally seen as quieter than the front.

For any larger carry-ons, you put the bag on a trolley provided next to the steps as you board, then collect the bag immediately as you leave the plane at your destination. Air Canada Jazz have a similar system for many of their flights on CRJ's and the like.
