WE did it last weekend and it was great. This year, i've been on a steak comparison tour on Long Island... since New Years, we've been to

Mortons in Great Neck
Napa and Sonoma in Whitestone
Franks in Rockville Center
Ruth Chris in Garden city(and will go again a week from today)
Blackstone in melville
Macs in huntington

and wife always gets a filet mignon, I get a porterhouse. for consistent comparison.

Mortons does a great job and is our number #2. And just having taken advantage of the offer, you get a LOT of food. We estimated that that $89 dinner would have normally cost easily $50 more. Blackstone just gets number one as they are as good as Mortons but only 5 minutes from our house

And I have to give great marks to Morton, this was our second visit there and we did not, in any way, feel like we were treated differently than those without the offer. They gave great consistent good service and steaks.

As for the size of the steak, it is a single cut filet, not the normal size steak you would get but a good size. So by the time you are done with the HUGE salad and the main comes out, you get 3 huge shrimp the single cut filet and potatoes and veggies, beleive me , you will be sated and will barely be able to have dessert. I always laugh when advertisements use the word COLOSSAL but the salad and shrimp really were.

we'll try Peter Luger in Brooklyn in a month....that might turn the tables a bit
