If you want to drive, that's fine. I just look at the numbers. You may not be a customer of Southwest, millions of others are. It is an absolutely superbly run company--that's why I have been an extremely happy investor for almost twenty years.

I am not surprised that Southwest doesn't serve food; after all, restaurants don't fly customers. Keep in mind that, on average, very few people complain about Southwest to the DOT. If Continental treated me the way Southwest does, you bet I'd be on the horn to the DOT. LUV makes no pretenses about what it offers: essentially, a bus with wings.

Anyone with reservations about Southwest Airlines, go grab the most recent 10-K--do the same for the other carriers--the comparison is stunning.
