Last week I had I hadn't been cleared for the KLM flight for LAX-AMS so all my flights within the U.S. would've been on DL and I would know the answer. We have never flown KLM so I was looking for specific experiences. Thanks
Slightly off, but I flew SK ORD-CPH-OSL the other day. Checked in at the desk, and then walked over to TSA to give my luggage. I specifically asked if they wanted my pad-lock (standard Samsonite thing with a key) removed. They didn't care they said.

Arrived in OSL... no more padlock... This one wasn't exactly made to protect Fort Knox, but still... not sure if it was removed or if rough handling made it fall off.
