Not certain that I understand your meaning with respect to "transferred"....but if I do, then you don't want to do this. 500 milers are the most restrictive form of upgrade that we have at UA, and for lots of folks, (low status/hub based, etc.) they can rarely be used. Also, 500's are not transferable to others except under difficult circumstances. YMMV.

From what I understand, they clear at your status window anyways. The only issue I'm worried about running in to, is the upgrade only clearing on a flight that one need 1 500'miler, so than the other half of that would be wasted.
