Call me crazy, but I seem to think that these benefits should extend to people wanting to pay for spouse memberships as well. Why? Because I rarely actually need the membership. I'm not elite, and I do most of my traveling with my husband, meaning if he's just a member, I can get in anyway. It doesn't cost them much to offer me this service independently, which even at the non-elite levels the other sky team carriers are realizing.
