great news--there's FREE wifi in the kona coast shopping center, that's the one with ross and starbucks. best spot to use it imho is next to the jamba juice outside, there are chairs and some umbrellas for shade; get yourself a smoothie (or an italian ice from the terrific place on the other side of the courtyard) and surf to your heart's content. if you want to pay for your service (or have t-mobile) the starbucks is a hotspot, but with the free wifi, i don't know why you'd bother.

there are a couple of places in kailua kona where you can use a computer, just for general info, but i don't know if they have a plug in service for your own laptop. the two i'm coming up with off the top of my head are both on ali'i drive, lava java on the water near outback and there's a little shave ice and ice cream shop near the northern end that has a couple computers to rent.

have a wonderful time!
