I have never understood the logic of positioning flights being fairly empty. Seems to me that if DL flies XXX people from city A to City B, then the same number of people will go back the other way. (Granted, some people may be on circle trips, or using another carrier or even driving one way, but wouldn't this about balance out?) Likewise, why are there cases where DL has one more daily flight from A to B than B to A? Does anybody have an explanation that my feeble mind can understand? Thanks
