I disagree with most posters here... of course it depends on your balance and your travel patterns, but I think there are better uses of a 30K mileage upgrade, and 220K is not a big balance. Personally, I prefer to go over to Europe in coach if needed and come back in Business, so I'd upgrade the return, but that's because I couldn't stomach spending 60K miles to upgrade a RT to Europe when a free ticket is only 90K!
