Well, 160,000 miles is enough for a T109 award.

That award is for flying on the Concorde both ways, which I am considering doing this year.

If the Delta/Continental/Northwest alliance allows for usage of miles on each other's aircraft, then you can use the remaining 20,000 miles in your SkyMiles account plus 140,000 miles from your OnePass account for you wife's ticket, if you have it and if 1 OnePass mile will equal 1 SkyMile for an award.

The lowest price I could find for a round-trip flight between New York and Paris on the Concorde is $6,577.15 per person.

It gets better: the T109 award includes transportation from your home airport in first-class round-trip, including between Orlando and New York-JFK!

Even better: the T109 award will also allow you to choose a final destination beyond Paris to anywhere in Europe the SkyTeam alliance flies, such as Russia, Cyprus, Italy, Finland, Portugal, Austria, The Netherlands, Greece and virtually any other European destination, all in first class if available!

You are allowed one stopover or one open jaw on the itinerary, which means you can either fly from Orlando to Oslo (without staying overnight in Paris), and return from Rome back to Orlando; or you can fly from Orlando to Rome round-trip with a stopover in Paris. You will have to stay overnight in New York, but because that cannot be remedied, it is not considered a stopover.

The reason why I mention the T109 award is that if you have the miles in your OnePass account, you will accomplish the following:

• Getting there is half the fun - and I understand that the Concorde is the experience of a lifetime!
• You will have access to the Concorde and other lounges throughout your entire trip.
• As the Concorde aircraft is aging and expensive to operate, they may soon be phased out, and they will not be replaced.
• You will most certainly get a lot of excellent value for your miles! Remember, the $6,577.15 fare I mentioned earlier is only for the Concorde portion of your itinerary, and you will fly first-class all the way between Orlando and your final destination!
