Doesn't even need to be a same day connection, as long as the domestic J flight is part of an international J itinerary, lounge access is available.

Have just spoken to reception staff at SYD T3, and they tell me that as long as you can produce a J boarding pass for an international flight on a oneworld carrier IN to SYD, then QP access will be available for the domestic flight, even if on a domestic sector, whether it is on a seperate PNR or not. Presumably, this will apply to other QP's around the country, so keep your boarding passes.
