The parallel between politicians and executives is interesting, but what stretches the credibility of these executives for me is that they expect the taxpayer to contribute funding, the frequent flyer to give up benefits, pilots to take pay cuts, sub contractors to be paid less, FAs to move to Song, various staff to sit on the bench, etc. etc.

.... and meantime they make themselves really *quite* comfortable with large bonuses and secure pensions.
