How many multi-elite households out there?

My now-husband and I have both been elite on AA ever since we started dating in 2003. That year, I qualified for GLD on personal travel and he made PLT on business travel. In 2004, he hit PLT again, but thanks to a new high-travel job (and an FT-inspired MR or two), I moved all the way up to EXP. In 2005, we both made EXP. I greatly appreciate not having to give him my stickers when we travel together anymore

We mostly travel separately for our different jobs, but every now and then, we manage to swing a rendezvous in ORD or DFW and fly home together. And, of course, we tend to vacation in style... AAward F seats home from our honeymoon NRT-SJC, a trip to Italy last month in J thanks to my eVIPs, etc.

Travel runs in my family, as my mom is a longtime DL Platinum and my dad has held bottom-tier elite status on both DL and US over the years. Since they (and my in laws) live back east and we're in California, we'll see if we can swing three generations of elite status once we have kids

I was wondering how many other multi-elite households are out there? Do you become elite together, or do you rack up the miles separately? Does anyone have a significant other who is elite on an airline other than AA?
