Ok, so I certainly think this new policy is dumb. Despite it being a cattle call after elites, this is just going to propogate the problem of people crowding the boarding area making me look like an idiot as I try to slalom people with my single carryon. As soon as the GA picks up the mouthpiece, everyone stands up and crowds around the boarding area as if a pot of gold were there. Ridiculous.

Not to mention, with so many elites, it's gonna be an elite rush for those that are sitting in Y. I hate rushing at airports, and there is no reason for me to have to get stressed about rushing into the plane just to make sure my carry-on doesn't get checked.

The real solution is for NWA to stop allowing more than 1 carry-on. This will stop the problem of people putting their bags in row 5 (319/320) when they sit in 23. I hate to suggest it, but I would like it if NWA enforced where you put your bag too. Then the the GA's should tell everyone to sit down and only satnd up and enter the boarding area when it is their turn to board. Heck, make someone who tries to board early board last.

I know this will only make FA's jobs more difficult, but if NWA doesn't enforce some reasonable rules people will take things into their own hands. It makes all pax get into this self-help/survival mode in which chaos ensues.
