BTW, Happy 5K to OP.

I've sent Marriott an email asking for such a CC for Canadians and got the standard form letter saying they were not planning one at the moment, thanks for my interest, blah, blah, blah...

It would seem a natural especially in light of Marriott's recent expansion in Canada, but maybe one day. I just hope it's not with some MBNA-like outfit.
