i would recc Hapuna. it's the only one of those i've stayed in. it was feb 06. room (ocean view), beach, pool, service left nothing to be desired. it's farther from the airport than most; however that puts it closer to the best restaurants up in waimea. my favorite part was seeing the whales (seasonal) breaching right off shore. winter surf was stronger than one might want; however, i'd guess it would calm by summer.
