Thanks for all the replies so far. MaxJet sounds great, but around the dates I was looking at in Aug/September, roundtrips were pricing out at $1700-$1900, which is a few hundred more than I'm willing to pay (Am hoping to score something for $1,200 or less, and would be willing to go as high as $1,500 if there's just no cheaper fares to be had in premium eco.) Perhaps the prices for MaxJet will drop closer to the departure date, if load factors continue to be as poor as others have indicated.
If MaxJet doesn't pan out, it looks like BA WT+ and VS PE are the ones that look most promising. I like the idea of having an upper-deck seat on a 744 with VS and expedited check-in, pre-flight champagne and whatnot. Does anyone here have any experience of NZ's Pacific Premium Economy or SAS' product? Want to make sure I'm not missing out on a hidden gem that might beat out VS or BA's product.
