Jim,

I did miss hit the 4 and 5 and will change that but it really does not change the facts of short haul flyers aren't feeling the love. With 250 co-workers it's not hard to spend that much money and most of the time we tried to stay on the K fares or less. And if you do the math not everyone is a GM or PM. Last year I did 102 segs and got nearly 55,000 base miles. Not every employee gets elite status and we try and book ahead for all travel utilizing the ULT fares. Last week it was $850 for a last minute trip to the north east. In March, April and May fares often double and triple in and out of Florida because of spring break and other activities.

We use about a 1,000 round trips per year most of which within 500 or 600 miles of ATL or CVG (500 or 590 base from JAX and then to your destination) at an average of $300 to $500 per trip and often times more than double that, you do the math because I do.

This year I have flown 20 segs and I just hit 5,000 MQM's at this pace I will make SM but I know next year I will only drop to GM it's in the third year it will hit. The point is I will not even come close to GM at this rate. Well I won't be doing the math because I will have moved onto another airline.

Sorry if I misled some of you I thought I was clear in my original explaination. Not much room for error here.

If I spent $5,000 for a ticket let along a seg for anyone I would be looking for another job that does not even make sense.
