Please help me interpret booking rules on AA

I'm not sure whether this is a question about logic or about how to interpret the rules. Here is what I found when I looked up the rules for an AA flight on Expertflyer:

RES/TKTG
RES MUST BE MADE NO EARLIER THAN 6 DAYS BEFORE DPTR OF FIRST SGMT. TKT MUST BE PURCHASED NO EARLIER THAN 6 DAYS BEFORE DPTR FROM ORIGIN OR 1 DAY AFTER RES IS MADE, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. SGMTS USING THIS RULE MUST BE CONFIRMED. ------- RES MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE DPTR OF FIRST SGMT. TKT MUST BE PURCHASED NO LATER THAN 4 DAYS BEFORE DPTR FROM ORIGIN OR 3 DAYS AFTER RES IS MADE, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. SGMTS USING THIS RULE MUST BE CONFIRMED

I've read it about 5 times and I still don't get it. The reservation has to be made no earlier than 6 days before departure and no later than 7 days before departure. If I wanted to leave on May 26 using this fare, when would I have to make the reservation?
