AMS never has asked me more than a few questions that directly related to the security of the flight.
Do you have examples to the contrary that are closer the the experience in TLV than they are to the experience in say, CDG or LHR?
If I find the security experience at AMS to be unacceptably intrusive, I will not fly directly from AMS to the US in the future. So far, that has not been the case.
