Wire transfers should take 2-3 days maximum... $18 is about right, but since we're talking about thousands of dollars here that's hardly a big percentage.

Whatever, a bank draft isn't the solution, so get it back to Canada and redeposited somewhere so she can get money on her ATM card and/or get the wire transfer started.
