So what you are saying is that employees having applied and had approved vacation must book all vacation components at the most flexible/refundable levels (ie full fare, rack rates) purely due to the chance that the employer will turn around and rescind the vacation previously approved. If that is the case I would want to be compensated at a higher level to allow for the higher vacation costs
required/necessitated by such employment policies. Alternatively, employers should buy travel insurance policies to cover employee vacation costs should they need to be cancelled.
Why should the cost of rescision of business decisions be borne by the employee?
