There are a number of airports across the globe, where it is now required to remove shoes - from JFK to DME. However, I don't recall any notices about the floor being disinfected - in fact I never ever before thought about whether the floor should be disinfected or not. Is it an Irish thing about not walking barefoot or in socks, on non-disinfected floor surfaces?
