.

Thanks!
I'm jealous! The following are perhaps more touristy things...

Visit Pt. Louis waterfront (OK, too western and touristy) and the market. Haggle on prices at the market.
The sugar museum SEEMS like a tourist trap from the description... but I found it AMAZING. ^
If you want to Hike... the Black River Gorge is awesome. With the waterfalls, it looks more like CG scenery from King Kong than a real place.
Ramgoolam Botanic Gardens.. if it's nice weather, head here with a picnic lunch.
Ride a submarine if you haven't done that before ( Grand Baie ).
Shop for clothes in Curapipe.
There's a Hindu temple somewhere mid-islands. Very cool... if you hike all the way to the top of the hill.. and are VERY lucky, there'll be singers/chanting when you arrive.. and the view is wonderful.

Head south to Le Saint Aubin, near Soullac, for a bite. ( I know... a BIT resort restaurant more than hole in wall... there's a french restaurant between Mahebourg and the Airport ( left side coming from airport ) that might fit your curiosity? )

Might Shop for houses around Mahebourg? (Visit the market there, too)

I don't think one can own the beachfront land there anymore... just lease it? Do you have info on that?

Man... I miss Mauritius....
