I don't want to sue Delta, but alert them that given the medical consequences of not giving committed customers - I have only 1 million but was working toward 2 with Delta- an alternative could have adverse affect on their bottom line. You help make my point when you make clear the court makes many decisions that defy logic, but the result nonetheless is that the company has to pay. I didn't say I was going to sue Delta, but that in time there could easily be lawsuits and Delta needs to calculate that into the equation.
My illness took me away from flying for 2 years and the company (Delta) I had locked myself into has changed in so many ways that is threatens my ability to fulfill my job. As a Delta MM I have been able to remain silver during this hiatus, but didn't realize until I learned the hard way that virtually the only choices now out of my home base were long flights on RJs. I need to stay with Delta because of that earned status and only having enough points with Delta to upgrade international flights.
Considering previous campaigns on this board, I didn't see that I am off the mark to express my opinion as it relates to my vested interest if it does not hurt other flyers. I don't want to see Delta in court, just try to be heard in the headquarters.
