Why can't I checkin through my luggage? Is the reason for my transit time too long or I use two different alirlines? I can show my connecting flight ticket (TG) to the BA staff in EDI.

Besides, what kinds of food I can expect on this early flight from EDI to LHR? I will use Y.

Thanks.
You'll have a choice of hot english or vegetarian breakfast with tea or coffee.

I take it you're travelling on a Saturday which would be an advantage as the 6:35am flight will be much quieter than any of the weekday flights. If you are travelling out of EDI on a weekday, would suggest you get to the airport in plenty of time, at least 5am. The queues at security can be abhorrent at that time.
