This reminds me of a story a good friend told me.

US pilots are allowed to carry guns now (provided they have the approval, etc. etc.) The pilots in ORD use the same screening as the passengers. My friend watched an AA pilot go to the security line, take off their belt, their shoes and GUN, put in on the belt to go through the X Ray machine. The pilot went through the security line, the TSA agent did some paperwork with regards to the gun, the pilot then put his belt, shoes and gun on and left the security area.

This begs the question, what was the point of the pilot going through security.


Last week inn T1 I watched the escalator guys doing "preventative maintenance" on the escalators - their tool boxes were there with all sorts of weapons (i.e. can't take a screw driver through security). This security stuff 5 years later is still not working.
