Through United's Charity Miles program, Mileage PlusŪ members have donated nearly 200 million frequent flier miles to worthy charitable organizations since 1996. Through this program, Mileage Plus members can donate miles (the minimum is 10,000) to any one of nearly two-dozen renown charities, including groups such as AIDS Project Los Angeles, the American Red Cross, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Salvation Army, the Special Olympics, and Transplant Recipients International Organization. So far, these charities have redeemed nearly 5,000 free tickets.</font>
