Let me elaborate. I have only flown CZ short haul. But I have been told by some of the maintenance people at the QF Base in sydney that they would never fly CZ (CZ fly SYD-CAN). On my short haul flight I was quite startled by the lack of a proper safety demonstration people on mobils/computers during taxi/takeoff/landing, tray tables down etc. I know there is debate as to what the real effect of electrical interference is but I always think that if they have such a slap happy attitude to the most visible signs of safety, then what you can't see, ie the big fans on the wings, must be worse.

Having said that the staff do try their best but seem awkwardly shy which makes everyone feel a bit uncomfortable, but I have found that with many Asian carriers, CX, SG, TG.
