I didn't know there was a RCC in Bangkok, but I just checked and you're correct. Good suggestion. I was there a week ago but was traveling on TG (BKK-MUC) so just visited the Royal Orchid Lounge (and the massage place).
I decided to do the return with the 1-hr connection in Bangkok. Tomorrow I'll see if my corporate travel department will actually book it. Stay tuned.
