I don't know whether to start a new thread or add to this one . . .

On a trip to LA a few days ago we tried In Out Burger so as to be able to meaningfully participate in this discussion. Several people eating at the same time as us ordered something that looked like a heap of fries with thousand isalnd dressing on them.

What is this item? I looked on the secret menu and I still don't understand it. Or don't I want to know?

(And yes, I would make a special trip here while changing at LAX, or otherwise being on the ground in the LA area.)
