Much to her surprise, on a UA flight last summer Mrs. Fredd was gently licked on the ankle by a service lab of about 50 lbs. lying under the seat behind her that she hadn't known was there. Our two-year-old granddaughter, flying with her parents and us, had fun petting the crowded creature.

OT - labs have great appetites and often have a weight problem - as a former lab owner I say this both with knowledge and empathy.

I wanted to get all this in before the thread goes to the dogs like the one referred to by the OP.
