This may be slightly bizarre, but the recent thread on a dog wandering loose in the cabin got me thinking. If a passenger bought a non-refundable ticket for his dog and then the dog was denied the seat, would the entire ticket be refunded?

The logic here is that the dog is small enough to actually sit on the seat. I'm also assuming that the RT ticket price is less than the pet fees would be (or the owner is just nutty!).

Now, it would be even more interesting if the dog was denied boarding and it resulted in an IDB situation.
