I too have much higher standards when flying in F/J than when flying Y, but I tend to put up with "good enough" than the "best" because the best product that a consumer may want may not be profitable for a producer.

Part of the experience of flying with any airline is to enjoy their food and beverage service.Regardless of class flown. If an airline advertises a product or a feature then there is an expectation that you will receive it. The passenger in my opinion could not care less if it is profitable or not.Expections increase with the more money you pay for anything.
Just asking the person to fly another airline does not solve the problem.
In my experience I believe that being served warm champagne is not just limited to EK.
Does anyone know the correct temperature that champagne should be served at? If I owned a product that was designed for the "first class"market and it was not being served the correct way then it is sending out the wrong message to the consumer.
