Interesting story.
On norwegian airlines, my friend was telling me their mag. have interesting stories.
One time, a older couple was traveling "unspecified" which means that they get booked into whatever major airline and a 4 star hotel avail (travel companies in Europe use this a lot). They havent flown in a very long time. On their flight, they checked in and were on the plane. But the FAs didnt know where they are. Their BPs were scanned, and the manifest said they were onboard, but they were not in their seats. Somehow, while searching the plane, someone looked in the cargo hold, and they were sitting on the crates. They thought that "unspecified" was cargo, and "specified" was coach.
True story

Just shows you, there isnt a big difference...
