Today I called UA res again and they checked it out: LEX is having their runways repaved, so they are closed for the weekend!

Strangely, AA is still selling tickets for travel on those dates. Hmm... maybe we should all book tickets on AA out of LEX and demand EXP status when they cancel our flights!
