It normally takes some time before the cards reach some people - I believe some are more fortunate than others.

If you do not recieve your card before your flight, you can ask for a printout stating your status. You can then use this to access the lounge.

If your status does not change on your BP (from Silver - when you made the booking, to Gold now), then you could ask them to re-enter the FF number and give you a new BP.
