While not on the beach, I would like to put my vote in for the Marriott World Center in Orlando. We took our nieces last year to ES Deerfield Beach on the beach for 5 days and then 3 days at the MWC, and they definitely preferred the MWC. It has a tropical atmosphere (esp if you get poolside rooms so you can hear the water in the extensive fountains) HUGE pool (1 million gallons) with a water slide.
I might check out the Courtyard VA Beach this year, since that is within a reasonable driving distance for us. Anybody have an opinion on the beaches themselves in VA Beach?
