Has anyone else had this happen, or is this just an anomoly? My flight is in November, but was hoping to get two seat together on the outer row (2-4-2 configuration in coach) of the aircraft.

What can I do? Thanks
Not sure if this is idiosyncratic, but last year, booked two business class tix on CX using AS miles -- as in your case, AS couldn't do the seat assignments, but on just one call to CX, they took care of it.

Perhaps try another CX agent?
