I agree. Compared to the 80.00/hr I make in the shop, the time I spend helping FT'ers/friends/family is a money pit. The typical detailed search takes about 5-10 minutes, with another 10-15 minutes to work through all the options and actually book the deal. Then, of course, people change their mind.
My travel agent earns every nickel I pay her, and I often bring her gifts of appreciation.
I couldn't imagine doing it for a living...
