I do not check bags.Even for 2 week Biz trip Australia & South Africa combined.

I have a Roll-o-board usually 15-18KG
Garment Bag with 3/4 suits plus 2 pairs of shoes:12-15 Kg.
A large size hangbag,which acts as a briefcase for my biz papers.
Never a problem.
Not even EX: MEL, SYD, JNB or CPT.

I would say my carry-on wieght in total: 35-40 KG.

Gotto love SQ & UA for liberal carry on policy for its J/F & top tier members ^ ^ ^
