Having absolutely no status whatsoever on AA, but about 24,000 miles each (husband and myself) in our accounts, was thrilled to get SEA-SKB in late Oct/early November for 18,750 miles each with the 25% off special going. I was ticketed using 40,000 of my AS miles from MIA-SKB and the SEA-MIA portion was paid. I think this is terrific value for my miles. There are $27 in taxes per ticket.
