I've flown SEA-HNL many times and NW will frequently sell you the FC upgrade at the airport for much less than normal cost if seats are open. I've done this for $200/pax. So depending on how much you want to sit up front, you may save yourself a few miles by taking the risk (35k is more than enough for a free domestic ticket that would likely cost a lot more than $200).
