Ok back to arguing if they have an effect....
I talked to Craig Forester, CEO of the Farpoint Group (a wireless communications consulting and research company) at a conference in 2004. I asked the question, and he said it always came up. He said he talked to some Boeing engineers and asked them about it. What was there response? "Do you honestly think we would design a plane that could be brought down by a cell phone?"
Food for thought.
